CHARACTERISTOF SKELETAL MUSCLE

Skeletal muscle, with itsassociated connective tissue, constitute approximately 40% of body weight.Skeletal muscle is so named because most of muscles are attached to skeletal system.Of Skeletal muscleは骨格筋の大部分を構成している。 また、横方向のバンド、または筋は、muscleunder the microscopeで見ることができるのでstriatedmuscleと呼ばれています。

骨格筋は4つの主要なfunctioncharacteristicsを持っています：収縮性、興奮性、伸展性、および弾性：

1.Contractility（kon-trak-til′i-tē） is the ability of skeletal muscle to shorten with force.It can be connected. 骨格筋は収縮時には力強く縮むが、伸びるときは受動的に伸びる。 重力または反対側の筋肉の収縮のいずれかが短縮された筋肉を引っ張る力を生成し、それが長くなる。

2.Excitability (ek-sı̄tă-bil′i-tē) is the capacity of skeletalmuscles to respond to a stimulus.

3.伸展性（eks-ten′sı̆-bil′i-tē） 骨格筋が伸びることを意味します。 収縮後、骨格筋は通常の安静時の長さまで、またそれ以上の長さまで限られた範囲で伸びることができます。

4.Elasticity (ĕ-las-tis′i-tē) は、骨格筋が伸ばされた後、元の安静時の長さに反動で戻る能力である。
